OUR FACILITIES
EVE LODGE, NEWMARKET
GEORGE Scott trains from one of the best locations in racing: the Hamilton Road which backs onto the gallops surrounding the famous Rowley Mile racecourse.

Newmarket’s historic gallops are the envy of horsemen across the world. More than
50 miles of superb training grounds are maintained by the expertise of the Jockey
Club Estates team. The sheer variety of exercise facilities means that George and
his staff are able to cater for every stage of a racehorse’s career. George’s string has
immediate access to the Racecourse Side exercise grounds, but the Bury Side
training grounds are also in easy reach.
Since September 2019 George has been based at Eve Lodge Stables, an excellent
site that is constantly evolving for the benefit and comfort of the horses living in the
80-box facility. Recent upgrades include the installation of a state-of-the-art equine
spa and a cryotherapy machine to assist with soft tissue and bone healing.
The yard also boasts indoor washdown bays, a treadmill (invaluable for conditioning
horses returning from a lay-off), two covered horse walkers, indoor ride and turn-out
paddocks. Such stable assets allow George and the team to give every horse here
the environment in which they can maximise their potential.
George can also call on a fine team of staff, who blend experience and energy. Their
ambition matches George’s with everyone at Eve Lodge Stables pulling in the same
direction, ensuring that every horse is thoroughly prepared for the racecourse.
